We started this blog at the end of 2008 mainly to post pictures of what we are involved in for family members and friends and also to help document our life. There has been a part of our lives however that I haven't spoken much of on the blog, why, I dont know. Maybe its because I dont want to be a complainer or maybe becuase I feel like it's just personal. But, for the past 2 1/2 years we have been trying to expand our family by having a baby with no such success. It has been a rollercoaster ride and has been hard on both of us but particularly harder for me. The past few months have seemingly gotten worse and worse. It seems like everyone I know from work, school or church (and aparently everyone at the store... JK it just seems like it) is pregnant or just had a baby.
However, through all this sorrow and confusion I know that there is a reason and there is a plan for us. With more information and a new perspective on my life I am hopeful that all will be well in the end even if it means adoption.
To help ease my heart I started to look for a new friend to keep me company. Aaron still has one more year of hard classes and will have to continue to study a lot. My search took me to multipale websites, as well as long saturdays wandering accross orange county in search of a furry friend.
We are happy to introduce a new fur ball that has taken over our house.... Mazie.

She is a 3 month old bichon poodle mix, we think ( its up for debate). We found her at the local Orange County Animal Shelter. We woke up at an hour of the morning that no one should be awake to go stand in line so that we could have first pick of the dogs. It was worth it though because she is very sweet.

I am sorry. It is okay to vent. Life is just not fair. I can't imagine the struggle it must be. Especially with everything so near. I think that puppy is a great idea. Help keep you company while Aaron is gone. Help that motherly instinct! You are such a sweet heart.
so cute shonee! i'm sorry you've been feeling sad if there is anything you need really never hesitate to ask! we need to do more girls nights cause even though it's summer it seems like the boys are gone a lot and i would love tutorials on all your cute crafts!! hang in there we love you! can't wait to meet mazie!
Oh my goodness your puppy is adorable! I too know about wanting a child but not getting one....We have been trying for a year. I feel your pain and if you ever need to talk let me know. The main thing that has helped me to not feel so bad is to talk to someone that is going through the same thing. Granted we have not been struggling with this as long as you and therefore my heartache is probably nothing compared to yours (and I will not even try to compare them). Just know I am here for you and that there are people out there that understand. We miss you guys by the way.
Shonee,
I'm so sorry to hear about your trial and heartache. It's a hard one. I hope that things will work out and soon for you. *Hug* Let me know if I can help with anything, or if you just need to vent, I can lend a listening ear.
Mazie is just the cutest little thing! I love her name too! What a fun little addition to your family!

I am glad you have such an adorable fury friend to help keep you company. You aren't alone in this struggle. All your friends are here to help you! Hang in there- I admire your faith and testimony. :)
I'm so happy Jasper has a new friend to play with! It really does help to have a dog..they truly become your kid :D I hope you know you are an amazing woman and I am grateful your my friend. I feel for your heartache and longing and continue to keep you in my prayers! Guess we'll have to plan some more play dates with Mazie and Jasper!
I can completely relate. Lately a thought I have been having is that things can change in a moment, and at any moment. Stay hopeful. I am happiest when I don't compare my lot to anyone else's-this is your life and your unique path and there is a reason why you are having these experiences. Hang in there and much love to you (and your cute little puppy).
She is darling...what a fun addition. My thoughts and Prayers are with you always for a little baby to join your family! Love always!!!
Hi Shonee! My name is Courtney- I'm Sarah and Jared's sister-in-law. I can relate to many of the emotions you shared here- in fact, the whole realm of infertility is why I started my blog a few years ago. My husband and I adopted our son from Ethiopia last year- next week will be our one-year anniversary of having him in our arms. Anyway, I just wanted to put my name out there as a resource for you. My original blog is dandiesinthesunshine.blogspot.com. I just recently switched over to wordpress, which is how I'm "identifying" myself with this comment.
Congrats on the sweet puppy!!
