Well, I just had my 26th birthday and although it was a really fun time, I also felt some sadness. I can still to this day remember a conversation that I had with my mother and a neighbor of hers. The conversation happened about 2 years after we had gotten married and the neighbor was asking me when we wanted to start to have kids. My response was that I had plenty of time and that we wanted to have it be the two of us for a while. I knew that my mom had me when she was 26 and I jokingly said I have a lot time before I am 26 but I am sure that we will have kids by then. I must have just had that number 26 in the back of my mind all these years and I was reminded of that converstaion on my birthday. A good friend of mine gave this quote to me.
we must be willing to let go of the life we have planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.- Joseph Campbell
I know that great things will happen to me in my life so with that knowledge, I will learn a lot and hopefully grow through all this.

First off Happy Birthday! I'm so sorry you are struggling. I think about you all the time. Hang in there, and if you ever feel like chatting... I'm here for you. I really miss our chats on runs. You were the best running buddy ever! We need to have you guys come out for some games! Talk to you soon. Hugs.
Oh sweet Shonee, I'm sorry you were sad on your Birthday! But know many people love and pray for you daily! I love that quote and have to keep telling that same thing to myself.
You see, my mom was done having kids by the time she was 28 and I always assumed I'd have a least 2 or 3 by that time. Guess we never know what life has in store.
{Hugs}
