So Cal Ragnar 2011 -200 miles

I had the opportunity to participate in the So Cal Ragnar Relay Race this past weekend.  It is a 12 man team race.  The race started out at Huntington Beach and ended at Coronado Island.  We ran though the heat and through the night and it was so much fun.

A quick history, the Ragnar was founded by two guys from Utah.  The first race they put together was in Utah and is called the Wasatch Back.  I will definitely be running this race in the future.  There are now many Ragnar races and they even donate a lot of the money to charity.

This is our fearless van driver Eric.  He was a blast and I really appreciate him giving of his time.

Since this was my first Ragnar as well as everyone else on the team, we didn't realize that we needed to dress up the vans with our team name.... next time.   However, I took a few shots of some of the other vans.

This is the official Ragnar Van.
Some of our teammates- Brett, Shawn, Tamara, and Kirsten.  Kirsten was a team member that we found online.  We didn't know her going into the race but she is great and we had a blast with her.

At the end of the race we were welcomed to a free bowl of noddles from Noodles and Company.  I can't figure if I was just starving since I haden't eaten any real food since 3pm the previous day or that they really were the best noodles ever.  Either way they were good.

We finished around 5:30 pm and we all crossed the finish line together.  It was so cool.  I really like our medals.

Here is everyone from van #2 Brett, Brandon, Drew, Royce, Kim and Shawn.

Here we are all happy to be at the finish line.  We are missing two people who had to go back home early, Rene and Mike.

It was a hard race, we all pushed ourselves.  It was so fun and I cant wait to do another one.
