It is pretty fun here. It seems that on the weekends we try to go explore and hike somewhere. This past weekend we went to the Waimea Valley and Waimea Falls. It is so amazing how beautiful and diverse this island is. I feel so lucky to be here. Our time here is going by too fast.
Do these falls look familiar to you??
This is where they filmed a few scenes from LOST.

It rained almost the entire time we were here but I could not pass up the chance to swim under a waterfall. We cautiously got in the cold water. After we were numb it was a pretty nice swim. We got out of the water and realized we forgot our towels....woops. We ended up walking back to the car, one mile away in our wet suits, in the rain. I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

Waimea Valley

The atmosphere was cool and the people chill. For the Shrimp Scampi, I have to say that we all agree that is was just OK, a lot of butter and garlic. Next time we are up there we will have to try another truck and see how it compares.

We stopped at the Dole Plantation. It is basically a gift shop with a cafe inside. They have everything that you could imagine that has to do with pineapple, including pineapple fields as far as the eye could see. Interesting pineapple facts.
These fish were going crazy over the food.
What is Aaron doing in this picture??? I don't know.....getting ready to hock a loogie.
