Easter 2012

Since my work schedule has me working most Saturdays we have not had a chance to go home for a visit yet until this past weekend.  We left Friday night after I got off work and headed down, just as we pulled into Huntington we saw a police officer behind us with his lights flashing.  Turns out we have been driving for the past week with no tail lights.  Our car has electrical problems, when the dash lights went out last week we didn't think to check to see if the tail lights were out, woops.  We drove the rest of the way home with our hazards on.  I guess we cant drive our car after dark until we get the lights fixed.
Saturday morning we headed up the canyon to a ward breakfast at Millsite reservoir.  The pancakes, potatoes, eggs and ham really hit the spot.

After breakfast President Childs brought his bowling ball canon.  I was quite surprised to see how far the bowling balls went.

The bowling balls went about 200 yards and hit into the cliff in the background.

After we finished at Millsite we headed out to the farm.  All of the dogs welcoming us.  At first Mazie was in a bit of a panic, after a few minutes though she was fine.

She even had a few followers, Barklay and Victor.

The puppy is so cute, he is only about 1 month old. Dad still hasn't decided on a name yet.

We unfortunately had another cow die over the weekend. At first we thought that she had eaten some bad hay.  When Dad, Kyle and Aaron were cutting up the meat they found out that the cow had eaten a bag thus causing her death.  This is my dad cooking up some of the meat for the dogs.  Since they found the cow hours after she died we didn't feel safe eating the meat ourselves.  The dogs will be living the high life for the next while.

Victor is about full grown now, since he is now about 8 months old.  He is such a sweet dog even with all of his slobbers.

Victor taking a nap, he actually stays up all night to patrol the farm so he has to sleep a lot during the day.

Last month the farm got a few new additions between the lambs, the puppy and chicks there is a lot of new life there. The baby lambs are so cute.

The mamma however does not like us poking around her little ones. I just had to laugh, hard, at her big bug eye.

My dad got a new toy since last time we were there, a new tractor.

It was so nice to go home for a visit.  We missed having the Dearden's there but hopefully we can see them soon.
